Welcome

Hill Ranch is located in Kinney County, Texas about 15 miles east of Del Rio. The ranch was established in 1951 by TL and Blanche Hill. It has remained in the family, and is currently owned and operated by Terry and Trevor Hill.

Over the decades the ranch has seen exotic animals, spanish goats, cattle, boer goats, and most recently dorper sheep. Several years ago, it became apparent that a change to a hardy functional animal with strong maternal instincts was needed to withstand the Texas drought conditions and raise offspring. We got our start by purchasing a set of ewes and set out to produce the most functional highest quality sheep in the dorper industry.

Our goal has been to produce a high quality set of sheep that are extremely functional in the pasture and successful in the show ring. We have added breeding stock from some of the highest quality producers in the industry. Wildcat Ranch, Speck, Hamilton Sheep Station, Yucca Lily, and Kaya are just a few of the bloodlines that we have incorporated into our flock. In 2013, we were lucky enough to purchase Wildcat Ranch 2143 “Oklahoma” from Wesley Glass. “Oklahoma” is a son of HC6 2124 “Killer”. Killer has sired a large number of show ring winners at major shows throughout Texas.

We are very excited about the rib shape, structure, and enormous amount of muscle that “Oklahoma” has added to our club lambs.

With God by our side, we are confident that we can produce winners in the show ring and lasting relationships.

We look forward to hearing from you!
